Spindle Recommendation for a Broken Zerk Fitting on a Spindle
Question:
Grease zerk is broken off flush with spindle and is not threaded. Is it possible to extract the broken peice and replace it?

Expert Reply:
I spoke with my contact at Redline and he informed me that there is a replacement zerk fitting for your spindle but that it is not the same as one you would see on a tractor or anywhere else. It would be a special order item that we would need to order from our distributor.
Or you could replace the spindle.
If this EZ Lube Spindle, part # TRU74FR, has the same dimensions as the spindle that is on your trailer now this would be a good replacement.
You will want to use a dial caliper to measure the dimensions of your spindle so you can figure out which spindle you would need.
I would recommend having a qualified welder remove your old spindle and install a new one.
