Length of Rhino-Rack RT-Style Roof Rack Tracks RRRTS547 on 2017 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab

Question:

Is this really Rhino part # RTS547? This is supposed to fit a Toyota Tacoma Double cab. 87inch is awfully long for a cab that is not that long. Is the 87inch number the length of both tracks added together? That makes the most sense to me as a 43.5inch track would fit perfectly on the Tacoma roof. Thanks. I have a 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Double Cab.

The tracks included in the Rhino-Rack RT-Style Roof Rack kit # RRRTS547 (same as RTS547) are each 47" inches long. These are not the crossbars but the rivet-mount tracks that mount permanently to a vehicle or camper shell roof to allow installation of track-mount legs such as # RRRLT600. These legs in turn accept crossbars like # RRVA150B-2 which are 59-inches long; other lengths are available.

It sounds like you may prefer a custom-fit cab roof rack rather than a general-purpose track-based rack. On the linked page you can see all roof rack systems custom-designed for your 2017 Tacoma's double-cab that has no type of fixtures on it. These racks have side-to-side crossbars that range in length from 49- to 58-inches. For a Rhino-Rack system with 49-inch bars I suggest their Vortex Aero rack made of parts # RRVA126B-2, # RRRLT600 and # RRQMFK08-2.

I have the same question as John, the 87 inch length cannot possibly fit a tacoma double cab, way too long. I think you should check your measurements as other websites have what i believe to be the correct length for RTS 547 which is 1200mm (47 inches). The installation PDF specifically states its for a toyota tacoma, so either the installation PDF is wrong, or the measurement in the specs is wrong.

You are correct. The Rhino-Rack Tracks # RRRTS547 measure 47" long. We are updating our site accordingly - thanks for letting us know!
