Installing an Electric Brake Controller in a 2017 Nexus Ghost on an International Chassis
Question:
Brake Controller Install Harness Recommendation for 2017 Nexus Ghost 36DS built on an International Durastar chassis. Would like to use a P3 if that matters. Thanks

It's not likely your International has a factory connector for an electric brake controller adapter. But you can still install a Prodigy P3 # 90195 by hardwiring it into the RV.
You will wire the P3 in by connecting the black wire to the positive side of the RV's battery, the white will need to be grounded which can be done to the negative side of the battery, the blue goes to the trailer connector at the back of the RV and red goes to the cold side of the stop light switch. The stop light switch can be found under the dash near the brake pedal and will be the circuit that shows power only when the brake pedal is pressed.
If your International has air brakes you may not have a stop light wire to connect to. In this case you can use any brake light only circuit like the CHMSL or stop light fuse.
The black wire to the battery will need to be protected by a 30 amp circuit breaker. For wiring and breakers you can use # 5506. If the RV doesn't have a 7-way connector already use our # ETBC7 kit which includes the same wiring and circuit breakers plus the 7-way to be converted from a 4-way.
