Replacement Electric Drum Brakes and Hub/Drum Assembly for Dexter Axle
Question:
I have a Dexter p12 axle and need the part numbers for the electric drum brake assemblies the never adjust type and the oil type hub and bearing kit. Someone cut the wires at the back of the 4 bolt flange and after I put 12 volts to it it still doesnt work. Thanks

I was able to contact Dexter Axle and get the information on your axle. The p12 that you referred to has to do with the location of the plant that manufactured your axle.
The direct replacement for your drum brakes would be the Right Hand Assembly # 23-435 and the Left Hand Assembly # 23-434. These are the self-adjusting brakes with the 4 bolt pattern to match with your brake mounting flange.
The Hub & Drum Assembly - 8 on 6-1/2 - Oil Bath # 8-285-9UC3 comes with the correct hub, drum, bearings, and oil bath.
