Availability of Multipurpose Ball Mount for a 1-1/4 inch Trailer Hitch Receiver
Question:
Does curt make a multipurpose ball mount with a 1 and 1/4 inch receiver ?

When you get to the small 1-1/4 inch trailer hitch receivers there tends to be more restrictions on what they can accomplish due to their lighter weight capacities.
Unfortunately there are no multi-purpose, or special ball mounts that can be used with a 1-1/4 inch receiver. You will only be able to use the regular ball mounts.
Keep in mind that when choosing the correct ball mount for towing you will want to take your trailer and tow vehicle to a level area and measure from the ground to the top of your trailer hitch receiver, and then from the ground to the bottom of the trailer coupler. If the coupler is higher you will want to choose a ball mount with the appropriate rise. If the receiver is higher, then you will want to choose a ball mount with the appropriate drop. See attached helpful article for more details.
The Curt Towing Starter Kit, part # C45147, is a good place to start, but you will want to double check to make sure that it will work for your application.
I have also attached a link to our selection of 1-1/4 inch ball mounts for you to look through.
