Recommended Installation Point for Redline 2-Piece Polypropylene Trailer Vent HMAV2-AVT2

Question:

Can the HMAV2-AVT2 vent be mounted on side of trailer with the vent grates facing forward? Does the design prevent water from entering forward facing grates? This would allow maximum air flow at freeway speeds . I plan on mounting one at the top front sidewall facing forward and one at the bottom rear on the other side facing to the rear.

The Redline 2-Piece Polypropylene Trailer Vent # HMAV2-AVT2 is suitable for front- and rear-of-trailer installation as you describe. The vent is designed to allow any water that does get in to exit through the drainage holes in the corners. The exterior portion's half-moon shape provides protection from moisture entering the trailer while still allowing good air flow to keep your trailer's interior cooler as you drive.

Keep in mind that the hot air in the trailer will be at the top near the ceiling so your rear-mounted exit vent may do the most good if placed near the top.
