Choosing the right weight distribution system will depend on the total tongue weight of your setup. The total tongue weight will include both the loaded tongue weight of your camper plus any added cargo behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle. You will want the total tongue weight to fall somewhere around the middle of the weight distribution system's weight capacity range.

If the dry tongue weight of your camper is 385 pounds, we can then estimate around 200 pounds that will be coming from behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle. That puts your total tongue weight at 585 pounds, while remembering to keep in mind that we are using the dry tongue weight of your camper, so we just want to make sure we have some wiggle room with the weight distribution system we choose.

I recommend the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control # FA94-00-0800. This system will evenly distribute the tongue weight to the axles of the tow vehicle and trailer for stability and control. 2 integrated points of sway control will limit side-to-side movement. The tongue weight capacity range is 400 to 800 pounds, making it an idea choice for your setup.

This system does include an adjustable shank but you will need to add a compatible hitch ball such as # 63840. I have also included our selection of hitch balls for you to review.

Lastly, I have attached a video demonstration of this system as well as a helpful article about weight distribution systems for you to check out.
