Weight Distribution Recommendation for 3,700 lb Travel Trailer
Question:
I am looking at the Fastaway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control - Round - 8,000 lbs GTW, 800 lbs TW for my 2014 MKX and the trailer guy said that if i use a distribution hitch it could bend my frame is this true or is he blowing smoke ??????it to hall a 3700lb travel trailer

We have not had any issues with weight distribution systems bending trailer frames. If your trailer happens to have an aluminum frame that could be an issue though. You would need to check with the trailer manufacturer if the frame is aluminum to see if that would still be recommended.
If your travel trailer weighed 3,700 lbs the tongue weight would be between 370 and 555 lbs. The FastWay E2 part # FA94-00-0800 would be perfect for that tongue weight range. Especially if you consider the weight behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle as tongue weight as well.
For a hitch ball you would want the # EQ91-00-6100 for a 2-5/16 inch ball or part # EQ91-00-6080 for a 2 inch ball.
