Recommended Keyed-Alike Locks for Multiple Trailer Hitches
Question:
Hello, As I have multiple trailer hitches- standard ball, bulldog type, and even gooseneck ball-eventually. as well as multiple tow vehicles, I am looking for items that could be keyed alike- for hitch pins, hitch locks and even gooseneck hitches. Not those ABUS keys, unless you can get more than 2 at a time, you cant find those anywhere short of a locksmith if they even have them. Is there anything like this available. Getting too many darn keys, Thanks

I do have a few possible solutions for you, however we do not currently offer a product that would allow you to have everything in your system keyed-alike.
Depending on the tow vehicles you drive, I recommend looking at the BOLT Trailer Hitch Receiver Locks like the # BL7023584. These are vehicle specific pin locks that, depending on the tow vehicle you are using, can actually be coded to your ignition key - so you will always have the correct key with you. Since you do have multiple tow vehicles, you would need to find a compatible lock for each vehicle, but you would not need to worry about bringing the corresponding key for the hitch lock. I have included a link that takes you to our selection of this product, so you can hopefully find the correct hitch receiver locks that are compatible with your tow vehicles.
For a standard trailer hitch receiver lock that can be keyed-alike, I recommend the etrailer # e98882 for 2 inch receivers. This is a stainless steel lock that fits 2 inch trailer hitches. You can just select "keyed-alike" in the drop-down menu on the product page when ordering.
Lastly, I have included a link that takes you to our complete selection of keyed-alike products for you to look into this further.
