Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution System for Trailer with 800 to 850 Pounds Tongue Weight

Question:

What part numbers for a Reese Stedi-Flex WD system and ball would I order for a 2013 F-150 pulling a TT with a tongue weight of 800-850# loaded. Id rather error to the upper safer side. Thank You, Donn Listing WD systems as: 800#, 900#, 1000#, 1100# and 1200# make it really hard for the novice to choose the right WD system. Using a 600-1000#, 800-1200# range on all hitches would really help a lot.

When choosing a weight distribution system you want to choose one that your total tongue weight falls right in the middle of the system's range. That's the reasoning behind the options to choose. So if you are to filter by 800 or 900 pounds tongue weight you'll come with the Reese Steadi-Flex # RP66559 rated from 500 to 1,000 pounds and the # RP66560 rated from 600 to 1,200 pounds. I know it can be kind of confusing.

Since your trailer's tongue weight is between 800 to 850 pounds either of those will be appropriate. You'll want to add in any weight stored behind the rear axle of the F-150 as well. If that weight gets close to 1,000 pounds or higher go with the higher rated system.
