Installing The 7 Pin Wiring Adapter For 2006 Ford F-150

HI.I HAVE AN 06 F150.4X4 EXT. CAB. I HAVE JUST INSTALLED A NEW 7 PIN CONNECTOR ONTO TRUCK OLD ONE DAMAGED.THIS ONLY HAS THE 4 LIGHT WIRES AND OTHER THREE JUST HAVE TAPED-OFF PIGTAILS.IS IT THE 118247 THE PART I NEED?I JUST INSTALLED A CURT/VENTURA ? BRAKE CONTRIOLLER.IM GUESSING YOU DONT HAVE THE HARNESS WITHOUT FEMALE 7 PIN CONNECTOR.OK IF NOT,IS JUST NEW.IS MY THINKING CORRECT,THAT FACTORY WIRING ACQUIRED TRUCK WITH RECEIVER AND 74 WIREPIN END GOES BACK TO FRAME RAIL CONNECTOR,DROPS TO A 4WIRE IF TRUCK IS NOT ORDERED WITH FACTORY TOW PACKAGE?SORRY FOR ALL THIS INFO/QUESTIONS BUT THANK YOU TOO.

On your 2006 Ford F-150, there should be an OEM connector that can clip right in. The Tow Package Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector # 118247 is the 7 way adapter you are looking for. I've attached a help article to assist in the installation and have attached a video.
