Can Equalizer Weight Distribution System be Used with Curt Weight Distribution Shank

Question:

I have a 2015 Ram 2500 4x4 crew cab. I am looking to purchase the equalizer 14k 4point hitch. I want to be sure I have enough for the hitch to get the proper height. My truck has a 2 1/2inch receiver and I currently use the reducer for my reese pro series round bar hitch. My current hitch is setup 3/4 in higher than the coupler as per reese instructions. I suppose I could find the p/n or measure how much I achieve with my current shank and get a shank that has slightly more drop to bring ball down to proper level? I just dont want to buy the equalizer with the shank then have to buy another. So i thought I would buy the equalizer without the shank and also buy a shank with more than my current one. Would this curt shank fit the equalizer hitch head properly with no sloppiness? Also i assume this setup would be okay to use with the 2 1/2-2inch reducer that I currently use that came with the truck. Thanks for your time.

The Curt weight distribution shank part # C17123 that you referenced is confirmed to fit with Equalizer weight distribution systems. It will work with the 14k Equalizer part # EQ37141ET you are interested in which can be used with a hitch reducer.
