Question:
I am installing an 6077 18K autoslide into my 2016 F250 crew cab truck.I have Reese part #30126 under bed mount installed in the truck. lock pin assembly apears to be too long to fit into the pucks =, the depth of the puck apears to be 1.125 depth and the lock pin assembly 1.375. approx 1/8inch longer?? Do I grind off the excess??

I called my contacts at both Reese and Demco and asked about the differences in the pucks for your 2016 F-250.
It seems with an aftermarket gooseneck puck system like part # RP30126, there is a button bolt that holds the pucks to the rails under the bed of your truck. That bolt is not there when a factory system is installed. The head of the bolt is causing the depth of the puck to be less and causing the locking pins to bottom out.
I called my contact at Demco and they said that you can add a washer to the # DM8550024 locking pin to make the pin sit higher and able to lock in the pucks. I have attached a photo of the Autoslide and have noted where the washers can be added. One other thing to note is that if too many washers, the handles may not move away from the bracket when you want to lock it in.
