If your 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee came with a factory installed 7-Way trailer connector then the wire for electric brakes is usually a green wire behind the driver's side kick panel. But regardless of what color it is the wire terminates at the 7-Way already.

If you determine that the wire you found is not the correct wire or cannot find the correct wire then you can run your own wire, # 10-1-1 sold by the foot, from the brake controller to the back of the 7-Way and install it in the 7 o'clock position.

If your Jeep has a 4-Way connector then you would need to hardwire in a brake controller and 7-Way using # ETBC7. I have included links that show and explain the ETBC7 installation for you.

If the Jeep does not have any trailer connector you will first need to install a 4-Way using # 118349 and then you could install the ETBC7. For a brake controller I recommend the P2 # 90885 because it is easy to set up and use and it is reliable.
