Tongue Weight Capacities of Various TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extensions
Question:
I see from the info you have that the super hitch 28inch extension has a 750 pound tongue weight capacity. What capacities do a 36inch and 48inch extension have?

Expert Reply:
The TorkLift SuperTruss 48-Inch Hitch Extension # TLE1548 has a maximum tongue weight (TW) rating of 600-lbs when used with the SuperHitch Original or Magnum hitch. If used with a weight distribution (WD) hitch this capacity rises to 1200-lbs. Capacity changes depending on the hitch used.
The shorter 36-inch SuperTruss Hitch Extension # TLE1536 has a slightly higher capacity of 650-lbs TW when used with the SuperHitch Original or Magnum hitch, also increasing to 1200-lbs when WD is used.
The shorter the extension, the greater the TW capacity will be. Total specs for each extension are listed on each item's page.
