Fit and Compatibility of 4-Way Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2007 Jeep Liberty
Question:
Hello, I am looking for the right, cost efficient product to install on my wifes 2007 Jeep Liberty. I called in was directed to the [T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, Code: 118524]. I did some more research and found the [Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, Code: C55382], which seems to be very similar to the product that was recommended above. The only difference I noticed from the installation video is that there is no need for a wire to be routed to the battery. Will this product work with my wifes vehicle? Your website indicates that it will but I just want to make sure before I make the purchase. Thanks,

It sounds like your wife's 2007 Jeep Liberty didn't come with the factory 7-way. So you are correct that either the Tow Ready # 118524 or the Curt # C55382 are confirmed to fit her vehicle.
The difference is in the powered converter, when the choice is available is always the better option than the non-powered because of the circuit protection provided and because of the fact that the power to illuminate the lights is being pulled directly from the battery rather then through the more fragile vehicle wiring. Often the Tow Ready is suggested over the Curt because we have had better luck with this brand once installed. Either wiring will work to provide the 4-way connection to the back of your 2007 Liberty, but I recommend the # 118524.
