Will Curt Weight Distribution System C17500 Work With Camper That Has 800-Lb Dry Tongue Weight
Question:
Would this product adequately do the job on my 2012 F-150 with my 32Ft bumper pull camper? The camper has TW of aprox 800 Lbs. And camper weight of aprox 8,000 Lbs. I still would be loading camper with essentials and filling fresh water tank which is forward of trailer axels.

For the correct weight distribution you need to know the gross tongue weight. That is the tongue weight of your trailer when it is fully-loaded and ready-to-tow added to the weight of any cargo placed behind the rear axle of your truck. If the 800-lbs you mentioned is the trailer tongue weight when the water tanks are full and you add additional cargo behind the rear axle of your truck then a system like the Curt TruTrack, part # C17500 will work for you.
This system has a tongue weight capacity between 800 and 1000 lbs, and the brackets on the trailer are a no-drill installation.
If you find that the gross tongue weight exceeds the capacity of this system let me know and I will make some recommendations that will work for you.
We do have another Curt system with a tongue weight range between 1000 and 1400 lbs. It is part # C17063.
