Does Weight of Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution Hitch 17499 Need to Be Factored In

This hitch adds weight. When calculating my weight, do I add the weight of the hitch to the trailer or to the truck?

When doing your math on trailer tongue weight (TW) you do NOT need to include the actual weight of your selected weight distribution hitch, such as Curt's TruTrack # C17499, because this weight is essentially suspended between the vehicle and trailer.
The TruTrack is rated for total TW of 500 to 800-lbs so it would be ideal for an actual effective TW of 650-lbs, which is in the middle of its effective range.
