The best way to run the power wire to the battery on Curt Circuit Protected T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness, # C56150, is basically what is easiest for you while adhering to a couple of important safety tips. First, it is easiest to route the wire under the vehicle rather than through the inside. If you were to route the wire inside the vehicle, you would have to go to a lot of trouble removing trim panels or other components, in order to properly conceal the wire. Routing it under the vehicle eliminates this hassle and will use less wire.
When routing the wire under the vehicle one thing you can do is run it along some existing wiring and secure it to the frame using wire ties. You can also forge your own path if you wanted. In either scenario you will want to avoid a few things. Stay away from components that might pinch the wiring, such as suspension components and other moving parts. Also, you will want to avoid getting too near the exhaust or similar components that will melt the wire.
Once you find a safe path to the front of the vehicle, make sure none of the wire is hanging down where it might get hung up on road debris. Then, route the wire up through the engine compartment near the battery (still avoiding areas that may pinch or melt the wire) and continue with installation.
