What Is Trailer Towing Capacity For 2011 Chevrolet Colorado

Question:

I have a 2011 Chevy Colorado and need to tow 7659 lbs, do you have a trailer hitch that will work, or do you know what the tow limit is on the Colorado? I have the work truck model. Please advise. Thank you.

All of the trailer hitches we offer for your Colorado do not have the towing capacity you said you need to tow. Our most heavy-duty trailer hitch is the Draw-Tite, part # 75607 and it is limited to 7,500-lbs with weight distribution being used. Without weight distribution it has a 6,000-lb weight capacity.

I did some research on your Colorado and the owner's manual says the maximum towing capacity for your truck is 6,000 lbs. The range goes from 1,900-lbs to 6,000-lbs based on the engine, transmission, and axle on the truck.
