Can Friction Sway Control For Trailer Attach to Trailer with Same Dimensions as Bracket
Question:
I have a full size 2006 F150 that Im towing a 3,000-3,500lb camper with. I had originally purchased a weight dist and sway bar for it, but Im deciding against the weight dist and just going with the sway bar. I ordered the sway adapter piece from etrailer and Im waiting on that. I have the same sway kit from your website. The plate that bolts to the trailer frame is the same size as my trailer frame, which means the 6 screws would go in and barely fit at the top and bottom of the frame tube. Is that common? When I watch videos on here it looks like the frames that they are putting these ball plates on are much bigger than my frame. I just didnt want to drill holes that close to the corners of the frame tube unless I knew it was ok. Thanks,

You would be just fine to drill the mounting brackets for sway control like part # 83660 on your camper trailer. Your frame being the same dimensions as the bracket that attaches the friction sway control unit would be just fine.
