Should Tension of Friction Sway Control Be Released or Should Unit Be Removed When Backing Trailer
Question:
Independent Friction Sway Control I notice that it says to remove the traction control when backing up. Does this mean actually disconnecting the device off the ball or just releasing the tension? Thanks for your time and effort. Bill Ford

Most of the time releasing the tension is the most you'll need to do. However, if you find yourself in a situation where the trailer could jackknife, removing the entire unit would be your best bet. Removing the unit is very simple, all you need to do is remove the two clips and pull the unit off.
