Choosing Boat Guide-Ons for 2010 Monterey 260 SCR's Boat Trailer

Question:

How do I measure for Boat Giude-Ons? I have a 2010 Monterey 260SCR. Thanks,

When choosing boat guide-ons, the height of the post is personal preference. Guide-ons come in a variety of heights to accommodate different boats styles and preferences of different people.

Since you have a Monterey 260SCR, the 75 inch tall, CE Smith Post-Style Guide-Ons that you looked at would work well in proportion with the size of the boat.

If your boat trailer has an I-beam trailer frame, you will want part # CE27635. These posts will attach the to trailer frame with I-beam clamps to mount the posts on the top or below the trailer's I-beam frame.

If your trailer has a box channel or C-channel frame, you will want to use part # CE27636. These posts will install with U-bolts around the trailer's frame.

The posts are simple to install. Slide the PVC posts over the galvanized steel support posts. Then use the included hardware to mount the posts on the top or below the trailer frame, as close to the rear corners as possible. Adjust the posts so that the distance between each post and your boat is less than 1 inch.

The installation instructions for the both of the post guide-ons are linked for you. I've also attached a link to all of our post-style guide-ons.
