Trailer Hitch and Related Towing Items for 2012 Nissan Altima
Question:
I want to get a complete with the ball, trailer hitch setup for a 2012 Nissan Altima. I am a military contractor and move around a lot, and have to be able to take my stuff with me. Which means a Uhaul or equivalent trailer to load my bigger items bed, couch, table, etc.... What exactly will I need and what will it cost me.

If you have the sedan version of the 2012 Nissan Altima then the 1-1/4-inch Class I hitch I recommend is the Draw-Tite # 24796, which has a maximum trailer weight capacity of 2000-lbs.
You'll need wiring harness # 118470 to operate the trailer lights. An installation article and video are linked for you.
You'll also need a ball mount # 3594 which includes a pin/clip, along with a hitch ball like 1-7/8-inch # 19256 or 2-inch # 19258. The trailer coupler will indicate the ball size required.
I also linked a helpful article with tips for safe towing. Always check your Nissan owner's manual to confirm your towed trailer weight is within the car's capacity. Prices for all items are shown on the individual product pages.
