Why are There Different Hitch Fits for the 2015 Jetta SE and TDI
Question:
Hey there folks, Having done a bit of research in VW parts fiches, it looks as though the 2015 Jetta SE and 2015 Jetta SE TDI are structurally identical - both vehicles list the same part numbers for the spare tire well and rear rail assemblies. I would very much like to install this hitch on my non-TDI because of how well hidden the bar is and that only the receiver is visible. It stands to reason that it will still work but I may have missed something obvious and you guys and gals are the experts. What do you think? I have a 2015 Jetta SE 1.8 TSI M/T that will be towing a light trailer and sportbike or using a hitch-mounted bike rack. I look forward to hearing back from you!

The undersides of the two vehicles you referenced are different enough to need a different hitch for the SE and TDI models of the 2015 Volkswagen Jetta. If you look at the two pictures I attached you will see that there are quite a few differences. Especially on the passenger side.
Since you have a non-TDI the only hitch I can recommend for you is the # C11474 which I attached an install video link for.
For a ball mount you would need the part # C45520 with the part # C40001 for a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball.
Be sure to check the owners manual of the vehicle for towing capacities.
