5th Wheel Rail Placement for Reese Universal Install Kit in a 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500
Question:
2002 chevy 2500 diesel fifth wheel plates placement where exactly should the plates be mounted on my truck? is there any measurement I can go by. Thanks

For the universal installation kit that comes with Pro Series hitch # PS30128 you will follow the instructions for # RP30035 which I have linked for you. You will need sheet 5 of 19 in the linked instructions.
To place the rear rail measure from the rear edge of the bed (not the tailgate) forward 30 inches for a long bed or 25-1/8 inches for a short bed 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500. Then you would use the hitch placed in the rear rail (once in position) in order to place the front rail in the right position.
I also recommend installing an in-bed 7-Way trailer connector, # 41157, which makes it easier to hook up the trailer.
