7-Way and Brake Controller Recommendation for a 2007 Chevy Express Van
Question:
Yes I have a 2007 Chevy Express 2500. I am looking to hook up a 7 way plug so I can tow my rv. I already have the 007 Chevrolet Express-Van Plug-N-Tow R Vehicle Wiring Harness. I am looking to hook up an break controller to the van and I want a socket plug thing that I can install in my bumper that looks good and has a dust cover. So I just have to plug in the rv and hit the road. Please advise what else I need other than the wiring harness. Thanks so much.

Since you already have a 4-way installed on your 2007 Chevy Express van you would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller. For that you will want the Brake Controller Install Kit and 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I attached installation instructions and an install video for this product as well. The video shows a 2007 Express just like yours.
Since your vehicle is longer you will also need the part # 10-2-1.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.
