Recommended Landing Gear Replacement Motor For 2011 Palomino Sabre Fifth Wheel Trailer

Question:

I am looking to change the landing gear motor on my 2011 Palomino Sabre 31RETS 5th wheel. It is a Venture Model #9000, Ser.# 160483. It is getting slower and slower and sometimes stops completely and blows the inline fuse. Ive put grease in the tubes to grease the gears/shaft. We are weekend campers, maybe 5-6 times a year, so not getting a ton of use. I talked to Palomino service and Lippert Components Tech. Palomino didnt offer much help and referred me to Lippert. Lippert suggested a Tuson motor. My question is: should I go with the high speed Tuson #Lc141893 or the heavy duty Tuson #196308? Base on what Ive told you, do you think this would solve my problem? Thank You,

I did some research on your Palomino Sabre Fifth Wheel and found that the dry weight is about 9,800-lbs.

I recommend the heavy-duty 6500-lbTuson motor, part # LC196308 for your landing gear. This motor is easy to install and requires no assembly.

The Tuson High Speed 5th Wheel RV Landing Gear Motor, part # LC141893 has a weight capacity of 5,000-lbs.
