Will the Lippert Bolt-On Shock Mount Kit Work On Snowmobile Trailer
Question:
I have an Ameralite aluminum tandem axle enclosed 7 x 19 snowmobile trailer. The trailer weighs approximately 2,000 lbs. Loaded it would be around 3,500. It is a leaf spring configuration. I am wondering if the lippert kit would work on this trailer or is it too light to be a benefit. Thanks

I spoke with my contact at Lippert about the # LC281255 Shock Kit. He confirmed that it will help dampen road shock for your trailer, as long as you have the necessary clearance and I-beam frame to install the kit.
The Lippert Bolt-On Shock Mount Kit # LC281255 that you referenced is designed to fit 2-3/8 inch axle tubes. The kit needs 4-1/2 inches of clearance between the I-beam flange and inside of tire. An I-beam frame is needed to install the upper mounting bracket.
I have attached photos of the installation instructions for you.
If your trailer has a 3 inch axle tube, you will want the Bolt-On Shock Mount Kit # LC281281.
