Troubleshooting Blinkers Hyper-Flashing on a 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander after Trailer Wiring Install
Question:
I have a 2007 Outlander 4cyl petrol, I have had trouble with the blinkers with trailer usage, I connected my boat trailer which has LED lights and sure enough the blinkers went to double speed, having had this problem before I then put resistors on the trailer blinker wires which solved the problem when the trailer is connected, however now when the trailer is NOT connected the blinkers run fast, hazard lights all work and blink at normal rate. I have tried disconnecting the battery to try and reset the computer to no avail, how do I reset the car blinkers back to normal speed?

Expert Reply:
I spoke to my contact at Tow Ready and he said that what he would recommend you do is run a jumper cable from the ground on the harness back up to the negative battery post of the battery on the vehicle to make sure you have a sufficient ground.
If that does not fix the problem then the harness would need to be warrantied.
