Why Would Trailer Brakes Lock Up in Rhythm with Blinker Circuit
Question:
When lightly applying the brake the camper brakes nearly lockup. When I turn my turn signal on they lock up with the rythum of the turn signal. I have changed the controller and same issue. I know its not the camper because everything g works great when I pull it with my 07 tahoe??? My truck is a 03 gmc k1500

The problem is that someone either ran your brake light/blinker circuit to the brake output circuit of your vehicle 7-way, or the two circuits have shorted out together.
I attached a diagram that shows how a 7-way should be wired up so that you can clean up the wiring of your vehicle.
