Axle and Suspension Hanger Placement on Tandem Axle Trailer  

Question:

I am building an enclosed trailer for a mobile kitchen the box is 3mx2m and the entire length is 4.8m and I want to use two axles and I want to determine the distance to place my axles from the nose /coupler and the spring setup the spring is 27inch 4 blade, for 40mm 1200kg axle. Please help

The placement of the axles is going to depend on the gross trailer weight. I have included a picture that shows how to determine where the center point should be between the axles.

Placement of the hangers is going to require mocking up the hangers to determine where they are going to fit. But as a guide you can use the following as a starting point:

Distance between front and center hangers and between center and rear hangers, approximately 29-1/2 inches (74.93 centimeters).
