Question:

Please let me know which leaf spring I should order to replace the ones on my 1984 Prowler 25 double axle2 3/8 I am looking at the 6 leaf one you have available but am concerned if it will fit. The distance center to center of the holes on the current ones 3 leaf is 23 1/4inch of so but the 6 leaf you advertise at 25. Advice?

Expert Reply:

If your 1984 Prowler Trailer has 3,500 pound axles, I recommend sticking with a 3-Leaf spring like the 3-Leaf Double-Eye Spring # e59SR to replace your 23-1/4 inch springs. This leaf spring measures 23-1/8 inches from eye to eye, which will give you a much better fit to replace the existing springs on your trailer.

A leaf spring of closer to 25 inches might be too long for the current hanger setup on your trailer. Older leaf springs will elongate a bit over time, meaning your existing springs might actually be right at the 23-1/8 inch measurement of the above mentioned set.

If the axle capacity on your trailer is not 3,500 pounds, please let me know and I will be happy to make a different recommendation. I have also attached a short video demonstration on this leaf spring for you to check out.
