4 Bike Platform Bike Rack Recommendation that Can Convert to 2 Bikes
Question:
Hi, I am trying to figure out how easy or difficult it is to remove/add the second 2 bike portion on the Yakima FourTimer #Y02469. I see that the Swagman Quad 2+2 #S646491only needs two Allen bolts to remove the second rack. I have a 2012 Lexus RX350. How well will the bike rack fit this car? I am also comparing the Hollywood Racks Sport #HR1400 Thanks

The Yakima 4-bike carrier # Y02443-2 can be easily converted to a 2-bike carrier. You can detach the front 2 bike positions by simply removing a bolt on the base. Then remove the red endcap from the detached piece, and place it into the base of the 2-bike rack that you will be using.
If you have a 2 inch hitch on your 2012 Lexus RX350 like the # C13143 this hitch would work well just like the # HR1400Z.
Since the Fourtimer can convert to either a 4 bike or 2 bike rack and is considerable light, it would be the one I would recommend.
