Where to Measure 3 Axle Trailer to Determine Weight Capacity
Question:
Mobile home axles all 3inch di., all springs 1 3/4 wide... Axle #1 26 1/2inch eye center to eye cener. , 3 springs, 5 5/8foot top of spring / axle clamp plate to under side of trailer frame. springs are 7/16inch thick above axles Axle #2. 26 1/4inch eye to eye centers, 3 springs 1/2inch thick throughout, 6 5/8inch between top of spring to axle clamp plate and underside of frame. Axle #3 25inch eye center to eye center, 1 spring, 3/4inch thick above axle and tapers to 3/8 thick at eyes. 8 7/8inch between top of axle clamp plate to underside of trailer frame. all measurments with no load on axle. Can you give me an approx. carry capacity and are there coil springs or other way to spring increase capacity. thanks,

Sounds like you are trying to figure out the weight capacity for your 3 axle trailer. It is nearly impossible to determine leaf spring capacity based on dimensions. But you can determine axle capacity by measuring.
Since your axles are 3 inches in diameter it would seem that they are 6k to 7.2k rated axles.
For suspension enhancement to help support your current setup you would want the Timbren Trailer Suspension Enhancement # TTRA1032 or you would need to replace your current springs with higher rated ones.
The closest spring we have to the dimensions of your spring is the # e27SR that has a 4,500 lb capacity. This is a 26 inch long spring.
