Dimensions Of Universal Hand Winch Right Angle Mounting Bracket
Question:
What are the dimensions of the Universal Hand Winch Right Angle Mounting bracket and whats the best way to install it on this trailer with bolts? Are more support brackets or rods needed to attach this mounting bracket to the trailer to strengthen the connection? Or, can the mounting bracket bolt on the front center top rail without additional support? Or, is there another item or bracket recommended to mount a hand winch and in the future, an electric winch? I dont weld and plan to bolt the winch attachment.

I have attached a photo of the Universal Hand Winch Right Angle Mounting Bracket, part # DL24110.
The center to center hole measurements for the smaller holes are 3-1/4 inches side to side, or 2-1/8 inches front to back. The bracket itself measures 5-7/16 inches wide, and both sides are 5 inches long from the center of the bend. The largest diameter bolt you could use would be a 3/8-inch or M10 diameter bolt. The outside openings of the oval holes are in line with the centers of the smaller holes.
With the measurement between the mounting holes it would be difficult to be able to attach the mounting bracket without either welding it in place or by drilling through the trailer frame to accommodate the hole dimensions.
Other winch mounting plates are designed for winches that have specific bolt patterns, so deciding on a mounting plate should depend on the winch you plan on installing.
