Recommended Trailer Hitch and Hitch Cargo Carrier for a 2009 Honda CR-V

I have a 2009 honda CRV lx . I looking to install a hitch and a rack to carry luggage. What are my options and weight load I can safely carry on the rack. Please list your model hitch and rack thanks

For your 2009 Honda CR-V, I recommend the Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 75547 because it's a Class-III rated hitch and it's easy to install.
The cargo carrier I recommend is the Curt aluminum carrier # C18113 because it weighs only 29 pounds and has raised side rails to help keep cargo secure.
Before you load anything on your future cargo carrier, double-check your owners manual for the maximum tongue weight. Based on my research though, it is 150 pounds.
As a result of a 150 pound tongue weight, you will have a cargo load limit of 125 pounds after you subtract the 25 pound weight of the Curt cargo carrier.
