Will Tail Gate On 2014 Jeep Wrangler Open With Curt Cargo Carrier Installed

will this fit my 2014 jeep wrangler unlimited hitch and allow the gate to open while installed in the receiver?

You can take a measurement to see if you have clearance when the Curt Cargo Carrier, part # C18113 is installed.
The carrier basket outside height is about 5 inches. Since the shank portion is below the carrier, you would need to add about 2-1/2 inches so the distance from the bottom of the receiver shank to the top of the carrier rail is about 7-1/2 inches. Just measure from the bottom of the receiver opening on your Wrangler to the bottom of the gate on the back of your Jeep. If that distance is more than 7-1/2 inches you would clear the carrier when installed.
Keep in mind that the measurement is when the basket is empty and nothing is sticking up above the basket. That would make a difference when considering clearance.
