Hitch Cargo Carrier Recommendation for a 2014 Honda CRV that Allows Rear Door to Open
Question:
Once in place but obviously not loaded yet, will this carrier allow for the back door of a 2004 Honda CRV to swing open? Thanks!

I have a solution for you, but if you check out the demo video I attached for the # 63153 you will see that the railing of the carrier does interfere with the door opening all the way on a very similar Honda CR-V as yours.
Instead the part # C18113 should allow your rear door to open. It has a straight shank (no rise) and low walls (5 inches). I've attached a video review of this carrier as well.
