How to Install a Brake Controller in a 2012 GMC Yukon XL
Question:
Have a Prodigy P2 that I removed from my 04 Suburban and wanting to install in a 2012 Yukon XL Denali. I have located the wiring harness underneath the dash of the 2012 Yuon and just want to make sure that the wiring and installation is the same as you indicated in your 2013 Yukon video installation demo. I am under the impression that it has to be wired in as opposed to plug in like my 04 Suburban was. Correct? Also, this will not effect any other built in sway control, stabilitrack, etc. already on the Yukon XL? Thanks for the advice.

You are correct, when installing the Prodigy P2 brake controller part # 90885 in your 2012 GMC Yukon you will need to wire the controller to the bundle of wires under the dash like in the video you referenced.
I attached that mentioned video plus a help article on installing brake controllers in GM SUVs like yours as well.
