Brake Controller Plug Location on a 2017 GMC Acadia
Question:
I have a 2017 GMC Acadia and it says it is a prewire however, I am not seeing the harness for it to plug in. Does there is no emergency brake pedal on the left hand side. I have not removed the dash. This vehicle is also a push to start does that matter at all?

Even though your 2017 GMC Acadia has the emergency brake in the center console and not at the left hand side, the brake controller connector will still be located under the dash on your driver, side as you can see in the attached photo. The plug for a brake controller adapter, like part # 3026-P for a Tekonsha/Draw-Tite brake controller, should be located there. It will be taped to another harness to the left of the steering column. If you don't already have a brake controller I really like the Prodigy P3 # 90195 because of how easy it is to use and that it stores different settings for different towing applications.
If you still can't find the plug after removing that part of your dash just let me know and send me a picture of what you're seeing so I can help you out further.
