How to Install a Brake Controller in a 2008 Toyota Tundra with Factory 4-Way
Question:
I have a 2008 Toyota Tundra without the factory tow package and I want to install a brake controller. Can I use the part #37185, or do I have to use the universal part ETBC7 for the wiring? Thanks,

If you plan to install a brake controller in your 2008 Toyota Tundra that has a 4-way in it you would want the part # ETBC7. The # 37185 is just the 7-way that comes with the # ETBC7.
With the # ETBC7 you get circuit breakers, wiring, and a circuit tester. This would be everything you would need. With the # 37185 you would have to piece together the rest of the kit.
I attached an install video plus installation instructions for you to check out as well.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes.
