Why Does My Trailer Sway When Towed with One Vehicle But Not with Other Vehicle
Question:
i have a 1994 ford ranger with a bumper mount ball. Tows my 5 x 8 with no problem. Ive got a 2005 Kia Sorento with a tube mounted trailer hitch . When I pull my trailer with my kia the trailer sways. And thats empty .

Most likely the reason your trailer is swaying when being towed by your 2005 Kia Sorento is because the trailer is not sitting level while being towed with this vehicle. You will want to pick a ball mount with the correct amount of rise/drop so that your trailer sits as level as possible.
Typically a hitch ball mounted in a bumper will sit higher than a ball mount in a frame mounted hitch.
