Possible Causes of Excessive Inside Edge Tire Wear on Drivers Side of 2011 Primetime Lacrosse

I have a 2011 Primetime Lacrosse 31 BHS , the tire on the drivers side rear is wearing on he inside edge. Only about 2500 km on the unit. Picture attached. What are the possible causes?

The first thing that I would do is to make sure that your tires are inflated to the maximum pressure listed on the sidewall. Unlike passenger vehicle tires, trailer tires need to be kept inflated to their maximum pressure at all times.

Next I would check out the suspension. Broken or excessively worn suspension components can cause uneven tire wear as well. Examine the components like the leaf springs and shackle links and replace if necessary. If the suspension checks out to be ok, another possible cause of the tire wear is a bent axle or spindle and it would need to be replaced.

Although unlikely, you could have a defective tire.
