Front Hitch Availability for the 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500
Question:
I am looking for a front hitch for my 2011 Silverado 1500, and Im becoming disappointed. I saw a photo of a Chevy front bumper with a mounted hitch, and the receiver tube comes out behind the factory tag bracket location. This is exactly what I want. Upon researching, I believe it was a Draw-Tite 65056 hitch, which is shown to only fit the 2500 and 3500 series trucks. The only models I can find to fit my 1500 Silverado are Draw-Tite 65052 and Curt 31322, both of which exit through the bottom facia of the truck. That is too low for what I want. Is there any option for the 1500 series truck that locates the reciever in the higher location?? It seems that the main difference is the reciever tube is welded to the top of the hitch crossbar instead of the bottom. Surely I’m not the only person to want the higher mount. Please help.

The only front mount hitches that are available or your 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500 are ones that locate the hitch opening below the front bumper of the truck like the Curt Hitch part # 31322 or the Draw Tite Hitch part # 65052.
Often times the lower hitches are preferred for people looking to plow snow like with the K2 # K2AVAL8219.
