500 lb Tongue Weight Capacity Hitch Recommendation for a Trailer
Question:
I have a 2012 rockwood ultra lite 29 ft. can I remove the back bumper and have a bumper installed that will carry 500 pounds.

I believe I have a better solution, the Curt Hitch part # C13701 has a 500 lb capacity that will fit trailers that have frame members that are between 18 and 51 inches apart.
Whether or not you could replace your current bumper with one rated for 500 lbs would be up to the manufacturer of your trailer, but I doubt they have a bumper available with that kind of rating so the hitch I recommended would be a better choice.
