Specs:
Most ball mounts have just 1 layer of paint or powder coat to protect them from the outside world. Scratch this away after towing just a couple times, and the raw metal underneath will start to rust before you know it. Some folks take pride in that rusty, worn-in look. After all, rust is proof that you've had plenty of road-worn adventures.
But we prefer something that works hard and looks like it's barely broken a sweat. That's why we added a layer of e-coat underneath the matte black powder coat to give you an extra layer of rust protection. So while others might be driving around with a flaking, rusted-out hitch, yours will be looking great for the long haul.
Quick Tip: As for the hitch ball itself, if you really want to make sure that black nickel stays looking fresh for longer, we suggest greasing it up before you tow.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we take a look at the etrailer pre-torqued ball mount with the two-inch ball for a two-inch hitch receiver. This offers a two inch drop and if you flip it over a 3-1/4 inch rise. And this is a solid shank, so it does offer a 10,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now, this heavy duty ball mount will provide everything you need to embark on your towing journey with confidence. This ball mount will let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle.
As we mentioned, you can see the solid shank here slides into your vehicle's two-inch hitch receiver. And if you notice, it does include the 5/8 inch diameter pin and clip, which is designed to fit nice and tight into the hitch pinhole to help minimize your rattle when you're connecting this to your hitch receiver. Now, this ball mount will offer a two inch drop like it is right now. If you flip it over, it would offer a 3-1/4 inch rise, and those measurements are measured from the top of the shank to the top of the ball platform. So just to give you an idea, if we hold this level and then we measure there to the top of the platform or top of the shank would be two inch drop.
And if we flip it over and then your ball would be reversed, top here to top here, right at 3-1/4 of an inch rise. Now, this two-inch hitch ball provides your connection point for your trailer's coupler. This one here is pre-torqued to the factory specs in the drop position. This is a sturdy steel with rust-resistant finishes. The ball mount itself has a matte black powder coat over an e-coat on the ball mount.
And if you notice, the ball has a nice finish to it. It's a black nickel-plated hitch ball. And they offer the pin and clip also in matching black nickel finish. Application, fits two inch by two inch trailer hitch receiver, gross towing weight capacity of 10,000 pounds, tongue weight of 1,000 pounds, ball diameter of two inches, which is stamped on the top here. And the last thing I want to give you is the ball mount length.
And the ball mount length is always measured from the center of the hitch pinhole to the center of the ball. So on this one, if we go center, be right at 7-3/4 inches. But that should do it for the review on this etrailer pre-torqued ball mount with the two-inch ball for the two-inch hitch receivers.
