Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector. Now, this is a custom fit harness that is designed specifically to fit your 2018 and newer Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain with the factory tow package. So this harness provides a 4-pole flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer signal lights.

This is going to be compatible with your 5-pole, 6-pole, and 7-pole adapters, and of course, those adapters are sold separately. And included is this dust cap for the 4-pole flat connector, which is tethered to the plug housing, so that's going to ensure that you're not going to lose it, and that dust cap is going to cover up those connection points when this plug is not in use. Now, this harness is designed to be used with your factory tow package. To use this, it's gonna be very simple to install, you're first going to install these relays into the harness, right here at these connection points, and these relays are just going to snap into these plugs here. And then, you're going to locate the connection point at the rear of your vehicle, behind the bumper cover on the driver's side, and then, just plug that into that connection point.

You can secure any slack in your wiring or any excess of wiring with the many included cable ties that come in this kit. And then once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle near your trailer hitch. Now, the maximum amperage for the stop turn lights is five amps per circuit, and for the taillights, it's 7.5 amps per circuit. This is constructed of 16, I'm sorry, 18-gauge bonded wire.

Again, that's 18-gauge bonded wire. And instructions are included to walk you through that installation process. And it is also recommended that you use a small amount of dielectric grease for all of your electrical connections like the plug on your vehicle and the 4-pole connector itself, this is designed to help prevent electrical failures caused by corrosion and moisture.
