Secure, Clamp-On Installation
To complete installation, place the fully assembled rack on your flush rails and tighten the rack in place with the torque tool included with the feet. The inner and outer clips in each foot tighten with a single mounting bolt to ensure an even, secure grip on your rails. An audible click from the torque tool indicates the rack is secured properly.
Protection for Your Rails
The rubber-coated steel clips and molded rubber pads protect your side rails from scratches and abrasions. The pads easily slide onto the bottoms of each foot, and they're designed to fit the shape and contour of your vehicle's flush rails.

Now this fit kit lets you mount the Thule Rapid podium-style feet to your vehicle with the factory roof rack tracks. And this is a custom-fit kit designed to fit the 2017 and newer Jeep Compass. You just input the year, make, and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will confirm if this fit kit will work for your vehicle. Now this kit includes everything that you see here.
It comes also with instructions and a safety booklet, but you are going to get your brackets, and then you're also going to get the clips and the pads and then the hardware and the tool that you need for installation. The custom-fit clips and pads let you mount the Rapid Podium feet, which of course are sold separately, on your vehicle with the fixed mounting points. Again, an easy installation, does not require any drilling. You just remove the factory side rail plates and install the fit kit clips with the included hardware and then slide the molded rubber pads over the clips to protect the surface of your vehicle from scratches. And it's also easy to remove when not in use.
