Hey, everybody, welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby, and today we're taking a look at Coghlan's Safety Scissors. So, these little guys are going to go ahead and store in this nice little plastic container here. As you guys can see, we have our little white knob on there. I'm gonna give you guys a closer look here, so you can go ahead and understand the product just a little more. So, like I said, you just have your ABS plastic out here, giving you a nice solid support.

You have this little metal tapper here where your blades are actually going to be protruding from and to slide this up, guys, all you have to do, grab this little white knob here, and simply slide it up just like so. That's going to go ahead and open up your blades. Then you go all the way to the very end, and there we go, our scissors are ready to use. So, I do like this guy, the handles are very nice, quite large, I'm somewhat of a bigger guy, and you can see it fits cleanly in my hands. If you have some smaller hands too.

Gonna have the necessary purchase to actually go ahead and get on this guy and it makes it really easy to go ahead and cut everything you want. Now, one thing I like about this, probably going to be pretty easy to go ahead and store in an RV somewhere 'cause all we have to do is simply get that guy down and then we can go ahead and store it in a drawer. Not going to be sliding around, especially when you have a lot of movement in the RV. Now I know how much of a pain that can be when everything's sliding around in that drawer, bumping up on each other. And this way we're just not going to have any accidents, right We can also go ahead and throw this in a pocket or our backpack and make sure that we have a scissor on the trail, which could be really nice.

Maybe we have some rope or anything we want to cut. And I've just gone ahead and grabbed myself a little note pad here. I'm going to go ahead and actually test this out, see how well of a job it can do. So I've done a couple little trials here already, and you guys can see it does a little decent job of cutting through there. So let's go ahead and grab that same length again.

And it does just kind of go right through it. As you guys can see it does a great job. Now that's only about maybe 15 pages or so, but as you guys can see, as I take the rest of this booklet, it's going to definitely struggle with it. So that's going to be anything, right, with paper. This is kind of an extreme test. This is cutting through rope or anything, I think it's going to be fine. You guys saw it does a great job of cutting through the rest of it. So, pretty standard for scissors, right It is gonna be stainless steel as well, so that's really nice. You do find yourself backpacking with it, not going to be corroding anytime soon, which is awesome. That stainless steel is great. It makes it really easy to service too if you do need to go ahead, just get it a little sharper. If you do find yourself, your ropes just aren't cutting as neatly, that could be a way of just getting it nice and fixed up and ready to go. Overall, though, I think it's going to be really great if you're really looking for a way just to go ahead and get your scissors with you at all times. Now, of course you have those little guys on like a utility knife or a pocket knife or a multi-tool, however, they're really not big, right This is nice, we can get that leverage. We're gonna have no trouble going ahead and actually cutting through anything that we need to, and then we can go ahead and actually store it inside our pocket or backpack somewhere in no time at all. So, gonna be nice if you guys find yourself just wanting some scissors to take along on any of your trips.
